STEM Career Awareness for grades K–5 begins with Community Helpers in PreK and continues with grade-level specific career activities culminating with a 5th-grade portfolio.  Support services include:

FAMILIES 

Wraparound Services are designed to support children and their family members, even with the most basic needs. Our hub of services aim to keep children and their families together through individualized services developed in a family-centered, team planning process. Services are provided at school, home, and in the community.

SOSSI seeks to remove barriers to student success by locating, partnering, coordinating, and helping students and families access comprehensive “wraparound” services from local service providers that complement and are aligned with effective instruction and other work done by the school.

OPPORTUNITY YOUTH (16-24 YRS, OUT-OF-SCHOOL)

STEAM StartUP exposes students to their options.  There are a lot of options available in terms of a career tracks, but often students do not have enough information or experience to even determine their interest.  Young People  entering the 21st century workplace will face an occupational world unrecognizable to their parents.

Services focus on engaging, motivating, and assisting participants with the essential and workplace skills required to enter and complete a high demand job/career pathway, receive full employment, and stay employed in order to take care of themselves and their families.

ADULTS (25+)

Ready by 2020 & Beyond is a workforce development initiative that provides a wide range of skill building and work readiness tools. Through the interactive, collaborative partnership between communities and industry employers, this boot camp creates time and space for youth and service providers to learn how to train and engage in high demand career pathways, connecting them with access to “Success Coaches”, experienced in either education and workforce.

SOSSI is provides consultation, technical assistance, comprehensive training and support for partners and community members. Bringing innovation, and opportunities to develop, implement and manage sustainable change, SOSSI, our COMPASS collaborators, and industry partners expose students to the world of business, sharing experiences in their career fields to increase graduation, work-readiness, entrepreneurship, employment, job retention, and teach students the importance of learning 21st century skills in and outside of school.

COMMUNITIES

Our COMPASS Model (COMmunity PArtners for Sustainable Success) is an interactive, collaborative partnership between corporate partners, communities and schools; developing a learning environment that has a life beyond the school walls and includes the community.

Academic support and enrichment is offered for aspiring entrepreneurs or youth who would like to grow their businesses, and work in an innovative, energetic and collaborative workspace by providing resources and support in implementing industry-aligned vocational programs.  Wrap around services available upon request.
